Food security is a growing concern in many countries, especially in Africa. Despite global pledges, the number of people suffering from hunger has been increasing every year since 1996, according to reports by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right of food.<\/p>

To meet the needs of the world’s growing population, which is expected to reach over 9 billion by 2050, we need sustainable agricultural systems that not only provide food but also consider the economic value of nature-based services that support agriculture. Simply applying outdated industrial agriculture models as a universal solution is not sufficient.
