Why is our work important?
Food security is a growing concern in many countries, especially in Africa. Despite global pledges, the number of people suffering from hunger has been increasing every year since 1996, according to reports by the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right of food.
To meet the needs of the world’s growing population, which is expected to reach over 9 billion by 2050, we need sustainable agricultural systems that not only provide food but also consider the economic value of nature-based services that support agriculture. Simply applying outdated industrial agriculture models as a universal solution is not sufficient. A range of innovative solutions will be required to feed over 6 billion people now and in the future.

Our Mission
At Florasbest Greenhouses Ltd, we have a simple yet impactful mission. We identify and address development needs in Uganda through sustainable agricultural activities, while also seeking attractive returns on investments. Our goal is to contribute to food security and environmental sustainability, positively impacting the quality of life in the region.
What sets us apart is our belief that generating sufficient profits is not just about sustaining our business and rewarding shareholders. It’s also about benefiting society as a whole.
